Foundation, Legacy & Leadership Sponsors
Sponsors make annual contributions to the Mastery Foundation of $10,000, $25,000 or more. They play a pivotal role in financing the Mastery Foundation’s work in empowering individuals and communities in their ministries, in the reconciliation and healing of divisions, and in creating new conversations and possibilities for the future. Our Sponsors truly extend the reach of the Mastery Foundation internationally — to Northern Ireland and to Israel.
For example, each $10,000 invested in the Mastery Foundation funds:
- Three Protestant grassroots leaders and three Catholic grassroots leaders to attend our three-day Reconciliation Intensive in Northern Ireland.
- Ten clergy or lay ministers in the United States to participate in a much-needed retreat and workshop for those who have taken in and ministered to people displaced by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
- A volunteer leadership team to deliver a Community Empowerment Program in Israel or Northern Ireland.
- A project in partnership with the Rabin Center in Tel Aviv to bring together and work with young people, educators and adults from a Bedouin village in Israel.
Levels of Sponsorship
Foundation Sponsors contribute $10,000 or more in a year. This level of giving makes a substantial difference in enabling Mastery’s work.
Leadership Sponsors make a five-year commitment to sponsorship at $10,000 or more per year. Leadership Sponsors recognize the additional impact that their contributions make when they can be counted on years in advance.
Legacy Sponsors make a five-year commitment as Sponsors at $25,000 or more a year. This level of giving is intended to create a lasting legacy. Most recently, the generosity of our Legacy Sponsors has enabled us to begin work on the Mastery Foundation School for Leadership.
Sponsor Participation
All Sponsors are offered the opportunity to attend Mastery Foundation programs each year that they sponsor. In 2006, opportunities include:
- Leadership programs in Israel during March and July.
- The Gulf Coast workshops for those who have ministered to people displaced by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
- The Mastery Foundation Reconciliation Intensive during the week of October 2nd in Northern Ireland.
- A symposium the week of October 23rd in Ireland to design the Mastery Foundation School for Leadership; a structure to train ministers and grassroots leaders in the distinctions of transformational leadership.
Attendance at these events is subject to limitations in numbers and includes requirements for your form of participation. In every case, sponsor participation makes a meaningful and positive impact on the event.
Sponsor Communication
As essential members of the Mastery Foundation community, Sponsors receive regular communications and opportunities to participate.
Sponsors are kept up to date on the difference that their support is making in the world through:
- Quarterly electronic newsletters featuring highlights of recent work
- Mastery Foundation’s annual report reviewing the previous calendar year
- Invitations to several conference calls during the year to hear about Mastery’s impact on the people we serve
Sponsors are also given various opportunities to participate in shaping the Mastery Foundation’s work and outreach.
